Just as scientists conduct experiments by using their knowledge to explore the unknown, The Aaron Clift Experiment combines elements of classic and cutting-edge music into an innovative whole.
The band’s unique songs draw from a wide range of influences – from classic progressive rock acts like Genesis, Pink Floyd, and Rush to modern groups like Porcupine Tree and Opeth to classical and jazz composers like Beethoven, Schubert, and John Coltrane. Aside from its diversity, The Aaron Clift Experiment is dedicated to producing soulful, powerful music and an intense live show.
In 2012, the band released its debut album, “Lonely Hills,” to rave reviews from both fans and the music press and was named one of the best unsigned bands of 2013 by Prog Magazine.
With the release of its critically-acclaimed 2015 album, "Outer Light, Inner Darkness," the band continued its ascension. The album was called "an impressive sophomore outing" by Prog Magazine, "gorgeously emotive" by Progression Magazine, and named one of the best releases of 2015 by Progradar. In 2016, The Aaron Clift Experiment was nominated for a Progressive Music Award in the Limelight category by Prog Magazine.
Today, The Aaron Clift Experiment continues to lead the way in fusing the sophistication and depth of classical music with the passion and raw power of rock and roll.
What began as an idea of how to create music has now blossomed into a full-fledged experiment. We invite you to join us in this experiment as we embark on our new path.

Hush! is a compilation of re-imagined original songs and cover songs
doused with shimmering acoustic guitars, upright bass, and drums.
Described as “Exciting, rambunctious and kinda scary” by Guitar Player
Magazine; Adrian delivers interpretations of acoustic metal songs like
Zeppelin’s Bron-Y-Aur stomp with a sweet voice as well as her original
pop rock material. Some of which are co-written with Kathy Valentine of
the Go-Go’s which won Adrian a Best of Austin Music Award.
Hush! is Adrian’s follow up to her 2014 release Be Your Own Saviour. Adrian says she’s looking forward to the challenge of playing acoustic shows. “There are no effects on an acoustic guitar. I’m totally naked and have to be more technically proficient. But on the flip side, I can hear my voice more than ever.”
Her affection for all things rock n’ roll is evidenced by the fact that she has spent 15 years as the lead guitarist in Hell’s Belles, the highly touted all female AC/DC tribute band from Seattle, WA of which Angus Young himself is a fan. She serves in a similar capacity for the Judas Priest tribute Belles Bent For Leather.
Despite spending an enormous amount of time touring in support of both projects, the Austin rocker finds plenty of time to feed her songwriting soul by touring also with her solo band. Some highlights of which include opening for Concrete Blonde, Brody Dalle, the Texas Tornados and a 2015 SXSW showcase.
