Bio

Guitarist Don Leady formed the TAIL GATORS in 1985 after leaving his hugely popular rock roots band band the LEROI BROTHERS. Legendary Bass player Keith Ferguson (of THE FABULOUS THUNDERBIRDS) joined Don and drummer Gary Mudcat Smith early on and the rest is swamp rock history.

The Tail Gators post-1992 line up included several other players including JJ Barrera on bass and Chico Oropeza on drums.

2015 saw a resurgence of Tail Gator shows in the Austin area as well as a new band member, 13 year old guitarist Jack Montesinos (The Original Bells of Joy, Don Leady and His Rockin' Revue).
