NEW MYSTERY GIRL

- Favorite Songs - CHRISSIE: *"Drop Dead Gorgeous" off of "Twist City" because it is hopeful and adventurous. When I was writing it I had a chord progression going but kept hitting a wall of how it would resolve to next verse. Even though it felt very weird physically and sonically jumping back to the root of the 1-4-5 it was exactly what it needed to do and then the rest of the parts fell into place.

There are enough parts that it feels like the subject which is travel, adventure and love. *Crawl Through Your Hair (title track) is my favorite from our newer songs. The chord movement is fun and perfect for the backing vocals I wanted Bobby to sing. It's also feisty which is fun to play live.

ERIC: *"Stepping On My Toes" because the lyrics are rapid fire clever lines like a Chuck Berry song and musically it's just primal rock'n'roll like all our heros intended it. *"Here He Comes" is another favorite because we found a good balance in getting our Buddy Holly/Bobby Fuller side mixed in with louder stuff.

Favorite Local Bands: Sons of Hercules (they are San Antonio band but tour up this way often enough to consider them "local")
Two Hoots and A Holler
LeRoi Brothers
Soulphonics
Bluebonnets
Eve & The Exiles
